You kids can keep your fancy loftwings. Back in my day (1764 AD) the only way to catch some air in Legend of Zelda was to jump off crap holding a chicken.
...or hover boots, or have a weird giant owl carry you around, I guess.
This was originally going to be a 25th anniversary piece for the series, but after messing around with it for a little bit, I put it aside and forgot about it for a little while (9 months). I'm sure it's fine though. People celebrate 26th anniversaries right? RIGHT?!?
Anyway, this is my little tribute to a series that made me what I am today: Pale and covered in chicken scratches.

Doses Album Art
So I know this band named Doses...
...and they recently put out their debut EP, "Take the High Road," and were cool enough to let me doodle all over the cover of it.
You can check out their music, merch, tour dates and even find semi-nude photos of them on their facebook page.

It even won a cover art contest at Dyingscene.com

Card Shark
This started out as a timed experiment to train myself to paint faster, digitally. I got a little carried away with it though...

Spidey and the Sandman
A while back, we did a weekly design challenge based around the word "sandman" and this was my entry. I recently found the image I and figured I'd slap it up here.
On a related note, I finally saw the Amazing Spiderman movie. I was surprised at how much I like a spiderman movie when it's not full of Tobey Maguire goofy, grinning face. It felt a lot more like the comics for me and despite its flaws, I thought it was much watchable than Raimi's movies.
...Now if only J.K. Simmons could be Jameson again...

Prints, iPhone cases and Nonsense now available
Doesn't everyone need an image of a banana peel vomiting it's innards wrapped around their iphone? Yes, yes they do. Every single person.
I've been toying around with the idea of selling prints for a while now and I've finally decided to open up a shop on Society6. There's a bunch of prints of past work on there and a few iphone cases and cards. If you'd like to check it out, just click the "shop prints" link on the right of the blog.
If there's anything you'd like to see added to the shop, just let me know. I'll be adding new work as I make it.

Trip to the Market
This is very loosely based on an old woman who goes to the same laundromat as me. Cranky old people are just the best.

Heart Attack
My girlfriend was talking to me about heart attacks the other day. Now I
take a slightly longer pause before slurping down an entire pizza.
Keyboard Cat
This is another piece from the ol weekly sketch group that has become less than weekly. The theme was "silly kitties" so I thought I'd do a keyboard cat. It quickly became less of a silly kitty and more of a sad, soaked-in-cheap-gin sort of cat. And mega kudos go out to anyone who recognizes the song lyrics.

Ron Swanson
"You know what? I am going to have that third steak after all."
When I grow up, I want to be Ron Swanson.

When Coffee Met Donut WIP
This started off as a piece for a weekly sketch group at work. I think it's pretty heavily inspired by a conversation I had with Jake Murray a few years back about ideas for gallery shows and one of the ones that got thrown around was inanimate objects falling in love.
The file has since been corrupted, so I don't know if I'm ever going to finish this, but I'm liking how it looks so far. Maybe one day I'll be overcome with burning passion and desire and with a tummy full of coffee, I'll charge forward and finish this lil fella up. Until then, you love birds...
